NorthStar Care and Guidance, LLC To Provide On-Site Psychotherapy in ALF’s at NO-COST to Facility.

NYC & Northern NJ – August 27, 2010 - NorthStar Care and Guidance, LLC is now able to provide on-site Medicare funded psychotherapy to residents of assisted living facilities. This is at NO COST to the facilities themselves.

Elderly often benefit from supportive and cognitively based counseling. Problems can be addressed and mitigated in a manner that will provide greater life satisfaction and lesser need for pharmaceutical intervention. In addition, staff can be less distracted by excess burdens placed upon them by suffering residents.

Issues that call for psychotherapy include depression, loss, psychosic, delusions, substance abuse, violence, withdrawal, alienation and agitation.  A range of modalities can be employed from supportive, cognitive, stress reduction and life review.
